🐱From My Heart to Your Cup With Whiskers🐾☕️
I’ve had cats for as long as I can remember — since I was five years old, to be exact.
My very first was Mrs. Moto, a beautiful seal-point Siamese with presence, opinions, and a way of looking at you that felt like she knew more than she let on. From that moment on, cats weren’t just pets to me — they were companions, teachers, and quiet witnesses to life as it unfolded.
Over the years, I’ve been many things in the world of cats.
I’ve been a midwife to countless litters, welcoming tiny lives into the world with wonder and awe. I’ve also been a steady presence at the other end of the journey — a kind of hospice nurse, holding space for those gently crossing over the Rainbow Bridge, honoring them with love, dignity, and gratitude for the years they shared with us.
People often ask if I have a favorite.
The truth is, I don’t believe in favorites — but there are souls who leave their mark forever.
For me, that was Zorro.
Zorro was with me for eighteen remarkable years. He lived fully, loved deeply, and taught me more about patience, presence, and quiet loyalty than I could ever put into words. When he passed in 2020, it felt like losing a chapter of my life — one that shaped me in ways I’m still discovering.
But not to forget all the others… Sasha, KiKi, BJ, Anau, Callie, Socks, and so many more.
Today, I’m a two-cat household.
Mr. Red, my handsome ginger tabby, is the elder statesman at nearly twelve years old — wise, observant, and completely unimpressed by nonsense. And Pretty Boy, almost three now, joined my life in a way that feels nothing short of destined. I inherited him when my sweet momma passed in October of 2022, and in many ways, he feels like a living thread — a reminder that love doesn’t end, it transforms.
Cats have been there through every season of my life — the joyful, the chaotic, the heartbreaking, and the quietly beautiful. They’ve taught me how to slow down, how to notice small comforts, and how to sit fully inside a moment without rushing it away.
That’s where Smirking Cat Coffee was born.
This brand was built with care, creativity, and respect — for the people who grow our coffee beans, the craft of roasting, and the people who choose to bring our coffee into their lives. It’s a reflection of how I live, how I savor, and how I believe coffee should be enjoyed.
Each coffee in this collection carries a little of that spirit.
